About me

I have left academia to work in the technology sector as a software engineer with a specialty in sensor fusion, SLAM, and computer vision.

I was previously a Research Fellow working in the broad subjects of Solar Physics and Computational Physics at a number of institutions including Dundee, Queen Mary University of London, Northumbria, Newcastle. I am also passionate about computational physics in general, and have experience of running large-scale numerical simulations of plasmas and fluids with a variety of approaches including arbitrary Lagrangian remap methods and particle-in-cell simulation.

Other interests and past projects include oscillatory magnetic reconnection, implosive magnetic null point collapse, the nature of MHD waves in solar polar plumes, the dynamics of MHD waves in inhomogeneous media, and kinetic simulations of electron beams and radio emission. An overview these topics can be found in the My Research section of this webpage.

On this website, you can also find my publication details, a (not-too out-of-date) CV and supplementary materials to my papers.
